Limit of Liability: Please note that The Needlepoint Clubhouse (TNC) is not responsible for the colorfastness of canvases, threads, paint or other materials nor is it responsible for any damage that may occur in blocking. TNC is not responsible for loss or damage that may occur in shipping. TNC is not responsible for missing needlepoint stitches or inappropriate stitching. If the customer chooses "finisher's choice", he/she accepts the extra charges that may incur and agrees to abide by the choices of the finisher. Any changes to be made to a "finisher's choice" finishing will be at the customer's expense.
Finisher’s Choice means that you consent to let the finisher choose the fabric, trim, etc. that they think looks best with your needlepoint. We always welcome your input into what styles or patterns of fabric you like and promise our finishers do an exquisite job!
Finishing turnaround times vary significantly by finish type. If you want an estimate of our current turnaround times, give the shop a call. Please know that this is a snapshot of turnaround times at that moment and things can change at any given time. The only day we guarantee is Christmas Day (see Christmas deadlines).
We ship all packages (except for small thread packages) through USPS Two Day Priority Mail and ship out packages almost every day. You will get an email with your tracking number when your product heads out the door.
Like each piece of a needlepoint project, finishing is a very unique process and thus varies widely in price. Our least expensive finish is $55 for a simple round ornament but some more specific specialty finishes may cost as much as $1,000. When we receive your shipping in the mail, we’ll give you a call to discuss details including a price estimate. This price is truly an estimate, it could be a bit more or a bit less depending on the labor and materials involved. You will not be charged until your finished piece is returned to the shop.
We will charge you for your finishing when the final product is in our hands at the shop before shipping it back to you. If you will be picking up your item locally, we will process your payment at pickup.
Most of our finishes do not need any turn rows. We do require turn rows/extra rows for a belt, dog collar, key fob, pillows with no inset, scissor cases, or purse strap which all need two rows on each side. 3D Houses also require 1-2 extra rows. If you are stitching a shaped ornament or stand-up, it may need some “shadow stitching” to eliminate tight turns and even out the shape.
The binding stitch is a way to “finish” the edges of a canvas often used instead of turn rows. The binding stitch is not necessary when finishing belts or key fobs, in fact NONE of our finishers prefer it. However, we are usually able to accommodate it if you’ve already stitched it.
We happily provide fabric for your piece but you are always welcome to provide your own fabric for finishing if you so please. If not, this option is called Finisher’s Choice where we take your style and opinions into account when selecting an appropriate fabric. If you’d like, we can text you pictures of some fabric options for your piece when it is coming up in the finisher’s queue.
Any project that is finished with fabric can be embroidered (ex. ornaments, standups, pillows, picture frames, etc.). Keep in mind the size of your finished project when deciding what to have embroidered.
We do not provide in-house framing services and suggest that you visit a local framer with experience in framing needlework or textiles.

Standard ornament finishing should include the following selections:
- Padded vs. Gusseted: Padded ornaments are thinner, while gusseted ornaments can be up to 1/2" thick.
